Okay, so you know how you think you are so much smarter than your kids? Your try to con them out of stuff and it comes back and bites you in the you know where!! Well, this happened to me recently. While we were living at my dad's I talked Ambree into having a birthday party for friends "next year." Well, next year came and I had 16 7-8 year olds at my house for Am's official first friend party. Actually, it was fun, but I stress SOOO much about this kind of stuff, having no creativity and all. I am lucky I have so good, creative friends. Montica helped me by drawing me a cute turkey to play pin the tail on the turkey. I got a couple ideas from Lacey, and of course a piniata(sp?) is always fun. My mom was also nice enough to come over and help too. But now that that stress is over I have to worry about the baptism AND Thanksgiving at my house~ what was I thinking? It has been another crazy, busy month. But I am so thankful to have these crazy days! Ambree has enjoyed the attention and I hope I have prepared her better for baptism than I prepared Aum. We've had FHE's on baptism all month. Today I've been working on her stinkin program. Does anyone have a copy of a baptism talk I can give? I will pay good money for it!! Anyway, going through pics she has always been my sweet girl- also drama, drama, drama!! She loves any form of attention (middle child syndrome!) She is so happy with everything you give her! She has been telling me thanks all week! Anyway, here are some pics from her party. I will have to do another post after the baptism!

Wow, that party looks pretty craze! It's kinda hard when thing come back to bite. I'll bet she loved it though, and that's what is important, (easy to say now that it's over!)
Good luck with all the other stressful days in the next couple weeks! You are a great mom, you don't give yourself enough credit.

Stormee your such a great mom!!! I'm sure she would have been just as happy with a couple of friend and a simple party, but your such a thoughtful person, and BRAVE to do what you did for her. I'm a major stress case about stuff like that too, so I can completely relate. We're so excited about Ambree getting baptized, that's great!!!

Next time maybe a limit of friends would be better:) Just kidding that looked like lots of fun for her and her friends. She is such a sweetheart! Happy Birth Ambree, and Gary! But you are totally a nice mom!
I haven't started the friend b-day party yet. The girls keep asking, but some how I've dodged it so far. There is always good short talks online. For Morgan's for the primary program I just googled 2 min. lds primary talks. There were a few on baptism because that is what Morgan talked on.
Looks like fun, you are lucky to have great friends and fam that live close. I'm glad I'm not to that stage yet! Happy Birthday to Ambs and to Gar. Love you guys
ok! Don't stress out!!! You need to talk to your amazing cousins. Brooke and Briydi talked at Shy's and Had's. They were great. One talked on the baptism part and one talked on the gift of receiving the holy ghost! The two girls sang between . we had to prayers. Sang an opening song and closing song and wa la we were done. in 45 minutes. You will do wonderful. karen
